Wedding photo tips for Austin
- Test the signal at Hill Country venues
- Out toward Dripping Springs or Wimberley, cell service can be patchy, and guests need to get online to join. Ask about guest Wi-Fi, and print the network name beside the QR code.
- Catch the hour before sunset
- On a hot day, the party often comes alive once the sun drops. Set out your QR signs before cocktail hour so guests are ready for the best light.
- Put the night on a big screen
- The live screen shows photos on a TV as they come in. It's a $29 add-on with the Wedding Day package and is included in the Bundle.

FAQ
Austin wedding questions
Will Momenta work at my Hill Country venue?
It works wherever guests can get online, through cell service or Wi-Fi. Service varies by venue, so check before the day and share the Wi-Fi details with your QR code if you need to.
What's the mildest time of year for an outdoor Austin wedding?
October averages 83°F and April 80°F, a long way from August's 98°F.
How much does Momenta cost for a wedding?
The Wedding Day package is $97 for one event with up to 300 guests. The Wedding Bundle is $249 and adds the live screen plus seven more events of up to 100 guests. Both are one payment, with no subscription.
How does Momenta compare with renting a photo booth?
They do different jobs. A booth gives you one staffed spot with props, and rentals often run about $250 to $550 per event. Momenta costs less and puts a camera on every guest's phone, so you get the tables and the dance floor as well, but it doesn't come with props or an attendant.
Do my guests need to download an app?
On iPhone, no: guests scan the QR code and Momenta opens instantly as an App Clip, without installing anything. On Android, guests install the free Momenta app from Google Play for now; uploading from the browser, with no app, is coming soon.
